Biography of Ka-fu WONG

Prof. Ka-fu WONG, leader of EconExperiments, received his Bachelor of Social Science & Master of Philosophy at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He was an assistant lecturer at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, teaching Introductory Economics and Public Finance, before proceeding to the University of Wisconsin-Madison for his Ph.D. After Prof. WONG got his PhD degree in 1997, he immediately joined the CUHK as an assistant professor. He has been teaching the courses of International Finance, International Economic Relations, and to supervise thesis writing at both the undergradute level and graduate level.

Prof. WONG is also involved in secondary school teaching of Economics. He taught junior secondary students in the Gifted and Talented Summer Program. He used classroom experiments as a major teaching tool and received highly praises from the students. Besides, in one of his teaching grants funded by Hong Kong Unveristy Grants Committee, he aims to collect, screen and modify classroom experiments used overseas for secondary schools in Hong Kong to enhance the teaching and learning of Economics through experiments.

王家富教授簡介

王家富教授是「經濟實驗教室」的首領。他在香港中文大學取得社會科學學士及哲學碩士。他曾在香港理工大學任助理講師，教授經濟及公共財務。及後遠赴美國University of Wisconsin-Madison修讀哲學博士。由1997年至今，王教授於香港中文大學任助理教授，負責國際貿易，國際經貿關係等科目，並審核學士生及畢業生的研究論文。

王教授十分關注中學的經濟教育。他曾在一個暑期課程中以課室實驗的形式教授一班初中資優學生經濟科，並獲得良好的評價。而王教授亦向大學撥款資助委員會申請了一項研究撥款以發展「經濟實驗教室」。透過搜集，選取並改良外國所使用的經濟實驗，推動香港中學經濟科的教與學。
